At Heart and Soul Animal Rescue of Long Island, we make every effort to find the best home for the special needs dogs and cats in our care. Sadly, some of the animals that come to us have been abused or neglected, and others are injured or suffer chronic illnesses.
With the support of our dedicated Sponsors, we are able to care for many special needs pets and let them live happily in our private sanctuary. Please help us to continue providing all the medical care and attention they need by sponsoring a pet today. If you prefer, you can also help us rescue a shelter cat or dog. All donations are tax deductible. Click below to give the gift of sponsorship:
Ralphie is a 13 year old Australian Shepard mix that we pulled from a hoarder house on Long Island in 2011. He was injured in some type of accident and was never treated by his former owner. As a result, he has absolutely no control over his bladder. He is a very happy dog and is living out his life in our private sanctuary but needs 8 Poise Pads and 4 Diapers a day. The cost is $200 a month. Ralphie would love it if you sponsored him or donated regular size Poise Pads or size 4T-5T diapers.
Cody is a 3 year old lab mix that we rescued from the Brooklyn ACC. His mercer was misdiagnosed by a veterinarian and therefore was not treated properly. Consequently, he was left with a terrible skin condition and no fur. He often breaks out in crusty legions and bacterial infections that require skin grafts and intensive medical care in addition to tons of A&D Ointment. Cody’s monthly medical bills can range anywhere from $300 to $1,000 depending on the outbreak. Cody would love it if you sponsored him or donated some A&D Ointment to help protect his skin.
A $50 tax deductible donation releases one cat from the shelter where they may not live to see another day. Upon receipt of your donation, we will send you a picture and information on the cat that was rescued with your gift.
A $100 tax deductible donation releases one dog from the shelter where they may not live to see another day. Upon receipt of your donation, we will send you a picture and information on the dog that was rescued with your gift.
