Cats and Dogs upside down cat
Most of our cats and dogs are at Petco (in Massapequa, West Babylon and Patchogue) or in foster homes living with volunteers who have generously offered to provide a temporary sanctuary for an animal in need. This helps us learn their personalities so we can work with you to select the pet that will best match your home environment.

Prior to adopting a cat or dog, you will need to fill out a cat application or dog application, fax it back to us, meet with an adoption coordinator and allow us to visit your home. Once your application has been approved you can pick up or we will deliver your new furry friend.

All of our cats have been tested for FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), vaccinated, dewormed and spayed or neutered.

All of our dogs have been tested for heartworm and lymes disease, vaccinated, dewormed and spayed or neutered.

While in our care they receive food, shelter and daily attention in addition to vet care when needed. Therefore, we ask for a minimum donation of $100 for a cat and $150 for a dog to cover the cost of preparing the animals for adoption. 100% of all donations go directly to support our rescue efforts.

We will ALWAYS take our animals back FOR ANY REASON. We ask, of course, that you think seriously about the commitment involved in adopting a pet and we hope that it is a long-term commitment.

If you cannot keep your cat or dog, you should notify us IMMEDIATELY so that we can either assist you in re-homing your animal or arrange to have it returned to us. DO NOT GIVE THE ANIMAL AWAY or bring it to a shelter, where it might be euthanized or not properly cared for, just call us and we will take it back.
